Face \u00e0 la multiplication des mod\u00e8les \u00e0 piles jetables, rechargeables ou solaires, il est tentant de penser que le solaire est automatiquement la meilleure option. Pourtant, la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 est plus complexe. Pour trancher, nous avons appliqu\u00e9 la m\u00e9thodologie internationale de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence, l\u2019Analyse de Cycle de Vie (ACV), encadr\u00e9e par les <a href=\"https:\/\/greenly.earth\/blog\/guide-entreprise\/qu-est-ce-que-la-norme-iso-14040\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/greenly.earth\/blog\/guide-entreprise\/qu-est-ce-que-la-norme-iso-14040\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">normes ISO 14040<\/a> . Cette m\u00e9thode ne se limite pas aux \u00e9missions de CO\u2082, elle prend en compte tout le cycle de vie d\u2019un produit : extraction des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res, fabrication, transport, usage et fin de vie. Dans le cas d\u2019une <em>porte automatique poulailler \u00e9cologique<\/em>, cela signifie comparer non seulement le nombre de piles consomm\u00e9es ou la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019un panneau solaire, mais aussi l\u2019impact de la production des batteries rechargeables, la consommation de ressources min\u00e9rales ou encore la gestion des d\u00e9chets g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s. Autrement dit, une approche qui \u00e9vite les conclusions simplistes et permet d\u2019obtenir des r\u00e9sultats indiscutables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les donn\u00e9es montrent des \u00e9carts significatifs entre les trois solutions. Un mod\u00e8le \u00e0 piles consomme environ trois piles AAA tous les 180 jours, soit six piles par an. Chaque pile alcaline repr\u00e9sente 40 \u00e0 80 gCO\u2082e, ce qui \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 0,25\u20130,5 kgCO\u2082e\/an. \u00c0 premi\u00e8re vue, l\u2019empreinte carbone est faible, mais le probl\u00e8me vient des d\u00e9chets solides : environ 72\u201396 g\/an, rarement recycl\u00e9s, auxquels s\u2019ajoute la consommation de zinc et de mangan\u00e8se. Les piles rechargeables NiMH, elles, sont plus co\u00fbteuses \u00e0 fabriquer (\u2248 quatre fois l\u2019impact d\u2019une pile alcaline), mais leur dur\u00e9e de vie de 300 \u00e0 500 cycles permet de diluer cet impact. R\u00e9sultat : moins de 0,1 kgCO\u2082e\/an, quasiment aucun d\u00e9chet et une consommation de ressources beaucoup mieux optimis\u00e9e. Enfin, les mod\u00e8les solaires n\u00e9cessitent un petit panneau 5W, un contr\u00f4leur et une batterie lithium-ion. La fabrication repr\u00e9sente 8 \u00e0 15 kgCO\u2082e, amortis sur 8 \u00e0 10 ans, avec une batterie \u00e0 remplacer tous les 3 \u00e0 5 ans. Rapport\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019ann\u00e9e, cela correspond \u00e0 1\u20132 kgCO\u2082e\/an, soit l\u2019empreinte la plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e des trois options. En plus du carbone, le solaire affiche aussi les impacts les plus importants en acidification, particules fines et consommation de ressources strat\u00e9giques comme le lithium, le cobalt ou l\u2019aluminium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019analyse comparative multi-impacts est claire. Les piles alcalines gardent une empreinte carbone limit\u00e9e mais posent un probl\u00e8me en d\u00e9chets et en ressources consomm\u00e9es, et d\u00e9pendent d\u2019un achat r\u00e9gulier. Le solaire, contre-intuitivement, n\u2019est pas la solution la plus verte pour un petit \u00e9quipement autonome : son empreinte initiale \u00e9lev\u00e9e ne s\u2019amortit que dans des sc\u00e9narios o\u00f9 plusieurs appareils (ventilation, \u00e9clairage, chauffage) partagent la m\u00eame installation. <br><br><strong>Quant aux piles rechargeables elles constituent le meilleur compromis \u00e9cologique et \u00e9conomique : elles affichent un impact carbone quasi nul, r\u00e9duisent les d\u00e9chets \u00e0 un niveau n\u00e9gligeable et offrent une dur\u00e9e de vie largement suffisante pour couvrir plusieurs ann\u00e9es d\u2019usage.
